Üna Lodge

The location is fantastic, right by both the lifts and the train station. The modern rooms are cosy, clean and nicely done, and there’s an outdoor jacuzzi as well as an indoor sauna. The downside was that the property was unattended for much of the day. During the sauna’s advertised hours, we found it switched off and couldn’t find anyone to turn it on. The phone number I’d been given at check-in went unanswered, and apparently the owner was on holidays. I’m sure this wouldn’t happen in high season, but it would have been nice to get a reply to our voicemail, even later.

We had planned to stay just one night at Üna Lodge, but changed our plans and stayed for two. Camilla was kind and very helpful, the beds were cosy, and breakfast was fresh and very good. It was a lovely stop while hiking the Haute Route, and we needed an extra day to rest. Our stiff backs especially appreciated the whirlpool.

The place has a great vibe, and I loved the jacuzzi and steam room area. Breakfast was wonderful every morning. The rooms are compact but beautifully finished and very practical. They’ve thought through every part of the stay and paid more attention to detail than anywhere else I can recall. I’d absolutely recommend it.

Very unprofessional. We booked in December the year before and they canceled without warning, claiming they were no longer doing rentals. They say they went bankrupt because of covid, but how am I supposed to get my money back? And why does the website still let people book for February? STAY AWAY.
