The views are lovely, and the atmosphere comes from staff who are friendly and always ready to help. This is a really good hostel in an amazing spot, right by the slopes and not far from the cross-country skiing loops. There’s also a beautiful forest and walking paths nearby. Highly recommended.

The parking is the main drawback. You have to move your car before 4pm the next day, so you’ll need to find another spot. That makes the hostel’s location in the middle of the slopes less of an advantage. Otherwise, it’s a very high-quality hostel: spotlessly clean, with an incredible view from the room and a generous breakfast. Dinner wasn’t amazing, but at least you won’t go to sleep hungry.

Rooms are clean, though very basic, and you can get straight onto the ski slope from the ski room. Dinner was good and fairly priced, and the cost is cheap by Swiss standards.

It’s a lovely hike straight to the lake. The walk from the bus station is long, but worth it for a great place with fair prices. It must be especially good in winter when you’re skiing.
