The location is unbeatable, the design and views are amazing, the building is spotless, and the pool and spa area is a gem. The ski concierge service was outstanding, and I’d definitely return. We spent two nights in a Mega Family room with our two small kids, though it was a tight fit. A few details let the service down for this price category. Bonvoy Elite members don’t get much benefit: our NUAs were declined, there was no choice of amenity or F&B voucher as a welcome gift, only points. Housekeeping didn’t refill the coffee creamer, so we had to ask. It arrived after the coffee had gone cold, though they did offer a 4 pm checkout without us asking. The light controls are disastrous. There’s no way to get to the bathroom without being blinded and waking everyone else. The “fireplace in each room” is a fake water vapor fireplace, and by the second day its tank was empty, so it couldn’t be enjoyed. These aren’t disasters, and it’s still one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at, but I don’t think the service matches the price category.

Verbier itself is breathtaking. We don’t ski, but we loved the weather, scenery, food, and warm local atmosphere. The hotel is pricey, but I think it’s absolutely worth it. We had two nights at W Verbier, one of the best hotel stays we’ve had anywhere, not just at a W. The welcome, valet, reception, restaurants, setting, and views all made the place feel special. Everyone we met was friendly, professional, respectful, approachable, caring, and able to communicate in several languages. I can’t name one person because every single staff member stood out, and we felt completely at home. The whole team took great care of us. When there was a small misunderstanding about the minibar, they fixed it right away, then surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine and a thoughtful note. That gesture says a lot about the hotel. Thank you to everyone at W Verbier, from reception, concierge, lobby, restaurant and room service teams to housekeeping, valet, and the people behind the scenes. You made our stay exceptional. I highly recommend W Verbier to anyone visiting Switzerland. Even if Verbier wasn’t on your plans, I think a trip for this hotel is worth it. We’re definitely coming back.

We were six Swedes there for the weekend of w8 2026. The hotel is beautiful and well located, with nice rooms in a local style, and we loved the food. The service was terrible, though. We expected more and unfortunately wouldn’t book again. Still, it might be worth trying for yourself.

I changed my rating from 3 stars to 1 after trying to work with the hotel to sort out the problems. We stayed for a snowboard vacation. The hotel is decent, but the price and advertising set expectations it doesn’t meet. Some rooms list a fireplace, but it’s only steam or water vapor with orange lighting. There isn’t a real fireplace anywhere in the hotel. That was disappointing, since we like having coffee in the morning and wine at night by the fireplace on our annual snow trips. The lounge areas are mediocre at best. The hot chocolate from the Living Room was awful. My takeaway hot chocolate came without a lid in a clear plastic cup, placed inside another clear plastic cup because the inner one was starting to melt. We didn’t feel our room was private, even with the “do not disturb” sign up and the door locked. Use the extra door latch as well as the deadbolt. Around 6 pm on our second evening, a staff member ignored the sign, unlocked the door, and opened it without knocking. One of us was in the shower and the other was halfway dressed. Thankfully the extra latch stopped the door from opening fully. We hadn’t asked anyone to come in, and apparently the staff member had the wrong room number. One evening, while we were in bed watching our own tablet, the speakers connected to the hotel TV suddenly switched on with loud static, although the TV was off. Engineering came to adjust something in a cabinet above the TV. Later that night, while we were asleep, another speaker turned on by itself with static. We could only stop it by unplugging it. We told the hotel about our concerns, and they insisted we have a complimentary dinner there on our last evening. We’d heard poor feedback about the restaurants and were hesitant. We should have trusted our instincts and stuck to our plan to eat elsewhere, but we wanted to give them a chance to impress us, so we went to 1519. The chicken was average at best. The shrimp was pink on one side and grey on the other, slimy and mushy, with a disgusting flavor. We tried one shrimp, but it was so awful we couldn’t eat more. They offered to replace it, but it was late, we were frustrated and tired of the subpar stay, and we just wanted to get back to pack and prepare for departure the next day. The hotel is refusing any refund, saying the awful meal at 1519 was “appropriate”. To us, the stay felt like a complete waste, and the hotel does not represent Marriott well. Better places are available at or below this price point. Save yourself the money and frustration and stay elsewhere.

I spent two nights at the W Verbier, and I stay at one or two hotels almost every weekend for work, so I can say this place really stands out. The property is fantastic, but it’s the team that makes it special. I’ve never met staff at any W around the world who were so warm, professional, and positive. From the valet and reception to breakfast, the spa, and housekeeping, every person was polite, helpful, and full of great energy. You all operate in the champions league of hospitality.
