We had lunch at Gasthof Löwen in Mönchaltorf a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The place feels spacious and welcoming, with plenty of parking behind the restaurant. The service was attentive and multilingual. The good-value lunch special had a choice of vegetarian, meat or fish, with generous portions. Each came with soup or salad and bread, and everything was divine. We can't wait to go back, especially in summer when the outdoor garden is open. Definitely worth a visit.

A quiet, pleasant place to sleep, and the restaurant serves very good food.

The toilets are outside the rooms and shared by several rooms. Overall, it felt about average for a workers' hotel.

A nice place in a natural setting, but there isn't a kitchen for cooking your own meals.
