Seminar-Hotel Rigi am See

I was there for my Reflexology training. Such a nice location, the view is stunning, and the staff are extraordinarily friendly.

The view, the kitchen’s overall atmosphere, and the value were really good, and reception was the one part of the team I found pleasant. But the hotel has three buildings, and the newer, pricier rooms in the Botenhaus have the worst setting. You may get a street view, a blocked view, noise from morning deliveries or cleaning at 6.15 am, or a view of the public parking lot and swim peer. Avoid room 321. I was given the loudest room for six nights as an individual guest, and the crew offered no alternative even though the hotel was almost empty. They said the other guests had requested specific rooms, so swapping wasn’t possible. It seems you need to call ahead and choose your room. I’ll make sure to ask about the specific room before coming again. I’d booked evening meals in advance, but the service staff never knew about them, so communication between reception and the restaurant didn’t seem very efficient. As an individual guest, you can get a bit lost, especially when larger groups are taking courses.

I attended a seminar there. It’s really quiet, and the lake view is amazing.

It’s a modest hotel, with a lovely breakfast and an incredible view.
