The salads were fresh and tasty, and the service was both capable and really friendly. We also had an excellent pizza, with plenty of quality toppings, baked in a special tray instead of right on the oven floor. The menu includes à la carte asparagus dishes starting in early April, as well as wood-fired pizzas with a choice of toppings. It’s a bright dining room with a nice terrace, and booking ahead is a good idea.

We slept wonderfully, and the food was just as good. After our long hike, we were greeted so warmly despite the restrictions in place. The rooms were spotless, with furnishings that looked new and high quality. Everyone was attentive and clearly made an effort to help us feel welcome. The pizzas are a bit unusual, with a thick crust, and were fresh and tasty. The atmosphere felt family-friendly. At lunch, the owners’ children were playing in the restaurant. That didn’t bother us, though anyone hoping for a quiet lunch for two might feel differently. The service was friendly.

The venison entrecote was delicious and just what I’d hoped for. Service was great too, always friendly and cheerful. Thanks very much, and see you soon!
