Hotel Ristorante Moleson

There was plenty of parking, but the hotel sits right beside the main road and railway. Breakfast was very sparse. No boiled eggs, flies kept showing up in the orange juice and swarming around the table, and when food ran out it wasn't replaced, apart from the bread. One morning we were even given a half-empty plate of cold cuts from the day before. Staff rarely said please or thank you, and there wasn't much effort to make guests feel welcome. The room service was adequate, but we found the same dirt under the bed throughout our four-day stay. The towels were frayed, and even replacing a packet of shower gel seemed like too much trouble. The furnishings and decor feel stuck in the 1980s. I won't book here again. A real shame, since the hotel left me with a poor impression of Swiss hospitality.

Four of us stayed for one night, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It's under a highway bridge with the railway line right in front. The place looks as if nothing has changed in 40 years. The beds are old and creaky, there's mold in the bathroom, and there's an unpleasant smell everywhere.

The chef takes time to visit guests personally and is always friendly. Service is consistently polite and courteous, and I love the food here. My favorite is the Filet Cafe de Paris, the meat is always so tender it practically melts in your mouth. At the Moleson, you still feel like the guest is king. Keep it up.

The dishes taste exquisite, and you can tell they're prepared with care. Service is professional and very welcoming. Everyone feels at home in the restaurant!
