Seminar Hotel Möschberg

The food was delicious, and the service excellent. It’s in a great spot with amazing natural scenery, which made for a wonderful stay.

The staff were so welcoming, the hotel was spotless, and the food was excellent during our four days at Hotel Möschberg with doctoral students from SINTA/University of Bern. I’m especially grateful that they let me play piano in the seminar room late into the evening. They never complained and even encouraged me. :-) Highly recommended!

The setting is stunningly peaceful, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, with a huge choice of cereals, and on pleasant days it’s served on the terrace. You can refill mineral water for free whenever you like, while other drinks are available for a fee from a central fridge. I didn’t get to try the swimming pond. The old building’s rooms are plain but fine for a night. The toilet and shower are outside the room, as the description explains, and you can choose a room in the new building instead. There’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, which could be a drawback for business travelers. Parking is in front of the hotel. If you walk from the train station, be ready for a short, fairly steep hike. It’s a superb place for conferences and could also be a good starting point for trips around the Bern area.

The countryside adds to the relaxing feel, with cows wearing horns and their bells, crickets in the grass, and a bubbling natural pool. The owners are friendly, and the seasonal food is organic and vegan-friendly. Great views, good food, and a lovely place to unwind. Wonderful!
