The spa was a real treat. We loved the saunas and booked the whirlpool, which was so cool to have to ourselves for a while while taking in the view. After a cold morning hiking in the snow, the boot warming room came in handy, especially if you have ski gear. Rooms were spacious and had great views of Zermatt and the Matterhorn. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of choices. It’s a lovely hotel in a great spot, about a 10-minute walk from the main part of town.

The Capricorn Hotel is in a quiet area, about a 10-minute walk from central Zermatt. I stayed one night and loved it. Barbara at reception gave me a very warm welcome, and my room was modern, clean, comfortable, and had an en-suite. Breakfast came with a view of the Matterhorn, and there was plenty of choice for different diets. A lovely touch after I left my bags while heading to Senegga: when I came back, there was a thank-you label and a Toblerone attached to my bag. I’d highly recommend the hotel.

Right in the middle of town, this boutique hotel makes it easy to reach all three ski areas. The rooms, spa, and breakfast are all top notch. Valerie, Barbara, Marcie, and the rest of the team are welcoming, attentive, and accommodating. They make you feel like family. Easily the best place to stay when visiting Zermatt.

We spent five days here as two people on a ski trip, and had a great time at the Capricorn hotel. The room was simple and clean, and the staff were friendly. The wellness area had a great view, and breakfast was delicious. The location is a plus too. When we return to Zermatt, we’ll book here again.

Our Matterhorn family suite was spacious, clean, and cosy for four adults, with a great view of the mountain. The breakfast had an amazing spread to suit all kinds of tastes. Every member of staff was welcoming, respectful, and responsive. Marcia was especially cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable. We were surprised to learn it was only her first week! The cleaning staff were prompt and efficient too. We had the best time at Capricorn and would come back in a heartbeat.
