Chalet Altesse Serviced Apartments

We’re so glad we found Chalet Altesse for our family’s ski vacation in Zermatt. Julia, Nikki, Richard and Begonia went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed, and the hospitality was amazing. We’ve just returned home grateful to them for making the trip so lovely and sharing Zermatt with us.

The chalet was beautifully appointed, and you can feel the care behind its design. We stayed on the 2nd floor in a 3 bedroom place with an in-suite bath and a stunning front row view of the Matterhorn. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with plenty of coffee, a bottle of wine, and light snacks, which was especially welcome after our 3.5h train ride since we didn’t have to head straight to the grocery store. Julia handled our booking and was kind, responsive, and professional. Before we arrived, she sent helpful details and a long list of information to help us make the most of our stay. On site, Nikki took care of operations and was a super star, always available with answers, help on the small details, and a warm welcome. Both ladies are amazing. Their home and standard of service come with my highest recommendation.

Chalet Altesse gave us a perfect stay. The apartment was spacious, quiet, in pristine condition, and tastefully decorated with branded design furniture. We mostly ate out, but the fully equipped kitchen was handy for breakfast. Having croissants delivered daily, with bread available to order too, was very practical. We’re a family of four with two children, and the location suited us well. It’s in one of the most chic areas of Zermatt, just a few minutes’ walk from the start of the "Furi" skilift. There’s also a free bus stop next to the chalet, with one stop to the skilift or a few stops to the center. We wanted to be near both the ski lifts and the center without being in the middle of the nightlife, and this worked perfectly. A magnificent direct view of the Matterhorn was a big part of that signature Zermatt experience. Nikki, the Chalet Manager, anticipated our needs and was fully available. Even though the small building was fully booked, she made us feel like the only guests. Chalet Altesse belongs to a well-known Zermatt family that also owns the famous Zum See restaurant. They’ll do their utmost to share their love of Zermatt and help you enjoy what this Swiss reviewer calls Switzerland’s best ski resort. I recommend it without reservation.

We had a lovely family stay at Altesse Chalet. Our extended family fit comfortably in a beautiful apartment that had everything we needed, plus thoughtful extras like a high chair and kids' utensils. The service was great, and they helped us with anything we needed. We can't wait to come back next year.
