Handy apartment, right by lots of restaurants.

Loved it.

The bathroom door is narrow, so the apartments aren't accessible to wheelchair users, even though the entrance and room interiors are flat. There's also a step onto the terrace. None of the four apartments is fully accessible. The living room is spacious and comfortable, but anyone who has trouble standing won't be able to use the bathroom. If you can manage a little walking with a cane, it should be okay. Two-bedroom apartments have bathtubs; the one-bedroom units only have showers, and there are no shower chairs. From Zermatt Station, it's about a 12-minute walk uphill to the hotel, with some gentle stretches and some steeper ones. Pushing a manual wheelchair alone can be hard, and even with help you'll likely need breaks. You can take a taxi; they look like loaves of bread and have a high step up, though some have step stools. There's more room inside than you'd expect: we fit six suitcases and a folding wheelchair. As of June 2025 the fare was 25 CHF plus tip. It's not cheap, but convenient. If standing is difficult, the walk through the shopping district can be a more leisurely option. A taxi is comfortable, safe and very quick, under five minutes, though 25 CHF may feel like a splurge for Japanese travelers. You can book one from the hotel to the station by app or phone, just give the hotel name and they'll come right over. There aren't taxis waiting around on the street. About ten meters up the road there are a few small bumps and a step, but they aren't insurmountable. All four apartments have elevator access. The elevator fits about four adults and may be too small for a large electric wheelchair. For Japanese, use a translation app, as Japanese isn't supported; English is spoken. Have a nice trip!

I had a pleasant stay and would highly recommend it. The owner was friendly, the kitchen had all the equipment, and from the balcony I could see the Matterhorn.
