I liked this hotel very much. The staff were polite and kind, the rooms clean and comfortable, and it’s not far from the train station. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The hotel is close to the train station and relatively clean, though a bit old. But at check-in they put me in a twin room with two single beds instead of the double room I’d reserved. They said they were fully booked, so it seemed they had given my room to someone else. The receptionist had a poor attitude and offered neither a solution nor compensation. I had no choice but to stay in a room much smaller than the one I originally booked.

Breakfast was really tasty and the location was great. We noticed that some rooms were better than others, but ours had a nice view and good space. Overall, it was good value.

The room itself was okay, and the service was okay too. The pillows were really flat, and they only gave us one each. There are stairs at the entrance and no lift, so you’ll have to carry your luggage up. It was an okay stay, and there may be better options, but this was one of the cheaper places that wasn’t a hostel.

We added breakfast and looked forward to the fresh croissants each morning. The place was clean, comfortable, and easy to get to, with the train station handy for arriving in or leaving Zermatt and the Gornergrat train nearby for heading up the mountain. The shower was blazing hot, too. A good affordable choice.
