Christop really came through for me. I had a reservation problem, and even though it was late in the evening, he took me in, found me a nice room and offered breakfast. He was hospitable and happy to help with whatever I needed. The hotel is beautiful, cosy and comfortable, with large, clean, nice rooms. I feel lucky to have met him. It feels like I have a home in Zermat now, and this is where I’ll stay every time I come back. You can book here without hesitation. Thank you Christoph, see you very soon!

The hotel was comfortable, clean and well maintained, and its spot in the heart of Zermatt made it easy to explore the village and enjoy the scenery. Christoph greeted us with warm, genuine, attentive hospitality from the start. It was our first visit to Zermatt, and we were lucky to book Hotel City. We felt right at home and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

I only meant to stay briefly, but liked Hotel City so much that I extended my visit. For skiing, the location works really well: it’s right across from the main bus stop for Matterhorn and a few steps from another stop for Gornergrat. The central shops are walkable too. My room was spotless, housekeeping came daily, and I had a breathtaking view of the river and central road. Even with such a central location, nights were completely quiet and restful. The food was delicious, and Christopher was the highlight. He was kind, answered my questions, offered extra conveniences and even gave me a jar of olives I’d loved at breakfast. A very friendly, welcoming hotel that I’d highly recommend.

The room was simple and cosy, and I could leave my luggage there while I went off exploring on my last day in Zermatt. Breakfast was generous, and Christoph also catered to my dietary needs. The hotel is near the train station, on a relatively quiet street by the river. Christoph is incredibly kind, gentle and accommodating. He welcomes you in all sorts of languages, pays close attention to what you need, checks the weather with you and suggests good adventures. As a mountain guide, he can also take you up a summit. He can recommend culinary experiences too. I can’t recommend the hotel enough, and there are so many good things to say about Christoph.
