The rooms are on the small side, but clean, well kept, and had everything we needed. Staff at both the hotel and restaurant were very kind and courteous, and they let us leave our luggage there before check-in and after check-out. We stayed at Mazot for four nights. The location was hard to beat, within walking distance of the train station, ski lift, restaurants, and shops. We ate at the hotel restaurant one evening and the meal was excellent. Book ahead if you can, we hadn't reserved but luckily got a table. The price seemed acceptable, around regular Mammoth (California) rates.

The free breakfast was a bit sparse, but still a nice option when meals in Switzerland can be pricey. We had dinner at the restaurant on our first night, and the mixed grill was delicious. Service was excellent, and I'd happily come back for the central location and restaurant. We booked two nights in room 6. It had a balcony, private bathroom, and comfortable beds.

We had room 6, with a private bathroom and balcony, though no Matterhorn view. The self check-in was slick, and everything was easy to reach on foot, including the shops, restaurants, and train station. I had a cold, so the cheese fondue and curry at the restaurant were just the comfort food I needed. The server was lovely and also looked after us at breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was kept open a few minutes late while I was moving slowly. Service was exceptional, and we'd definitely stay again and recommend it.

We'd been traveling around Switzerland for just over a week, and one of us is gluten intolerant. The staff made that easy, and the Argentinian grill was perfect. The food at Le Mazot Zermatt was by far the best we'd had on the trip. Everyone working there was so friendly. Can't recommend it enough!

We liked the restaurant so much that my husband and I went back four times during our weeklong visit. There were lots of vegetarian choices, and the food was delicious. A singer or violin player provided lovely music during dinner. All the staff were welcoming and efficient.
