Our first family trip to Zermatt, all the way from Houston Texas, turned into an unforgettable stay at the Matterhorn FOCUS. The hotel is right by the gondola, and our suite had a great Matterhorn view. We stayed in the spa suite, which was spacious, spotless, beautifully appointed and a great value, with an elegant design and thoughtful amenities that made it easy to relax. The inviting common areas added to the atmosphere. Check-in was smooth, the receptionists were friendly, and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Service, comfort and location all exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend it for a visit to the area and hope to return on our next trip.

The spa and pool were just what we wanted after a long day skiing, and breakfast offered plenty of hot and cold choices. The hotel’s free taxi to and from the station was a bonus. It’s a modern, stylish hotel right beside the main cable car. Large glass windows made the room feel spacious, with a good Matterhorn view if you look around the cable car tower. The staff were excellent and helped us book dinner.

At breakfast, the coffee appeared as soon as we did, because the staff remembered how we liked it. The changing breakfast selection each day was a real plus. The location is right next door and within walking distance of the Furi ski lift, and the slope ended near the hotel. The beautiful rooms were a pleasure to sleep and spend time in. Check out the room view in the attached photos. Six stars for Matterhorn FOCUS, and we absolutely want to come back!

The room had glass all around, and the spa and breakfast were amazing. The staff were awesome, too. Being right by the gondola makes a huge difference. We’ll be back.

The team made our anniversary feel special with thoughtful arrangements, and even helped us get to and from the train station. They sent us off with water for the journey home, too. Everyone was considerate, polite, and quick to communicate, so the whole stay at Focus Matterhorn felt easy. After exploring, we loved unwinding in the first-class pool and spa. Our room was roomy and comfortable, and having a Nespresso machine for coffee with a view was a lovely touch. We had such a wonderful stay, and would highly recommend it.
