Is it possible to book a stay of just 2 nights?
The warm welcome stood out right away. We found a bottle of red wine and a fruit basket waiting for us, and gladly accepted them. The apartment has its own character, with a kitchenette, satellite TV, and a bathtub. It’s in central Zermatt, about a five-minute walk from the train station, and you reach it using two elevators. Cooking is easy here: there are pots, pans, utensils, spices, an oven, a four-burner ceramic cooktop, kettle, and microwave. There’s both a coffee maker and a Nespresso machine, though I’d bring your own ground coffee and capsules just in case. Wine and champagne glasses were in the cupboard too. I did miss having a microwave cover. On a clear day, the balcony looks out beautifully to the Matterhorn. For groceries and everyday self-catering, I’d suggest the Migros supermarket at the Zermatt train station. Stays can be booked for 4 nights or more.
