The rooms all have a SONOS sound system, which was a real bonus. Marcus welcomed us warmly, gave helpful advice, and was attentive and available to make sure everything went smoothly. He even helped arrange transport when we arrived and left. We couldn’t have dreamed of a better stay in Zermatt. “Old House” is tucked into a charming, quiet alley right in the center, so it’s easy to walk everywhere, with a splendid view of the Matterhorn. The interior is beautifully decorated, the bedding is perfect, and the kitchen has high-quality appliances and is fully equipped. We highly recommend both the accommodation and the host. These lovely wooden houses are built from Swiss mountain larch, whose resin helps them keep their appearance for many years. Some are up to 500 years old and were used as stables and hay storage. I recommend visiting.
