Ibis Abidjan Plateau

The worst Ibis I've ever stayed at. This experience has put me off coming back to Ibis. I was travelling alone as a woman, and they gave people who weren't with me a key to my room. When I brought it up at reception, all I got was "sorry, sorry". I emailed them afterward and received no reply. Imagine someone entering your room at night with a key. There was no dryer or shampoo in the room, and no phone to call reception. They gave me a WhatsApp number, but never replied. On top of that, they held a party in the entrance on a Thursday night, with music and a live presenter on a microphone. It was impossible to sleep. Ibis is usually a hotel for work, so why have a party? DO NOT COME.

The staff's kind hospitality made us feel at home, and special thanks to Joel and the whole team. The hotel is easy to reach in the central administrative district. Facilities are simple, but well maintained and efficient. Breakfast was good enough and changed each day. The back yard was a cool spot to have some beer and tea. I was satisfied.

Everything was well looked after, and the atmosphere felt relaxing. I had an amazing stay with excellent service. Annie deserves a special thanks for her kindness and professionalism, which made the visit even more pleasant. I really appreciated it.

The receptionists were lovely and did their best to help when we needed it, which we appreciated. The food wasn't so great, though. Before checkout time, the cleaning staff took the amenities from our room and were extremely rude about it. Unfortunately, we found most locals had the same unfriendly attitude.
