The pool looked too dirty for us to use, and the Wi-Fi was pretty slow. Breakfast is included, though it’s a small omelette, a piece of bread, cream cheese, and coffee or tea, so not much if you’re hungry. The rooms are roomy and comfortable but rather dark. Staff were warm and friendly, though nobody spoke English.

We lost 45 minutes while the workers insisted their card machine wasn’t working. After we left without paying, it suddenly worked. They later claimed online it had a one-off fault, but that’s not what they told us: they said it had been broken for a long time. While I was trying to troubleshoot it, I saw its last use was six months earlier. Now they’re talking about respect and honor while continuing to lie online. They seem to think they’re master liars.

There were mosquitoes all over the room, and the staff were rude. The owner kept harassing me, and I felt afraid for my life while I was there. Avoid this place at all costs.

The hotel is a little outside the centre of Yamoussoukro, but the staff can arrange a taxi and help with other things you need. My room was clean, the staff were very helpful, and breakfast was free. A very good place to stay.
