Mama Taras

The location made getting around easy, with Muri beach, the night markets and a 24-hour food store all close by. We found the staff really helpful, especially when they arranged a late checkout for our young family. The bungalow was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. That bottle of water was a nice welcome, and the A/C made sleeping at night so comfortable. We'd happily come back to Mama Tara's Bungalows.

The place seemed good at first, but I wouldn't stay again. It was hard to find because there was no signage. The sheets and bed linen were filthy and stained, and so were the towels, cups and plates. The kitchen cupboards had a really strong musty smell. We were so disgusted that we took photos.

The pool is amazing, and Muri beach is just a five-minute walk away. Everything you need is on the Main Street too. We're staying in the villa, and it's stunning: all three rooms and both bathrooms are fantastic, and the beds are super comfy. The kitchen, living room and the rest of the place have literally everything you need. We don't want to leave!

We stayed in bungalow #2, set inland rather than right by the beach. It's not too far to get there, though being beachfront would be hard to beat. The place was surprisingly quiet, with not many roosters waking us, and we loved the two dogs guarding it. Both bedrooms were clean and tidy, and there's a big, beautiful bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has appliances and a fridge freezer, plus there's a washing machine, so it felt like a home away from home. The car and scooter hire at the end of the road by the main road came in handy when we decided to rent a car. The luxury villa is the one with the swimming pool.
