Moana Sands Beachfront Hotel

The staff were very friendly, which made our stay more enjoyable. The beach was beautiful, and gardens, a shop and Charlie's restaurant were all within walking distance. The food portions were big and very tasty.

I had a spacious, clean and comfortable deluxe studio on the top floor. Every room at this hotel has a view, which is a huge plus. Snorkelling right out front was pretty good and easy to get to, with no boat needed. The food ranged from good to great, and wine was reasonably priced.

The room was more modern and comfortable than we expected from other reviews of Rarotonga accommodation. We loved how relaxed the place felt, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast being included was a bonus, and there’s a bus stop right outside for getting around the island. The view from the balcony was crystal clear beachfront, with the reef just metres away. Snorkelling gear, paddle boards and kayaks were included, too. Moana Sands was great value, and we’d happily come back.

The thing that made our engagement stay at Moana Sand Front Beach Hotel especially memorable was the hospitality. Everyone, from reception and housekeeping to the restaurant, kitchen and bar teams, looked after us wonderfully. They even went above and beyond with services I’d requested before we travelled. Marvin in the restaurant gave us particularly thoughtful service throughout our stay, and the barman was so kind and attentive during this special time for us. Congratulations to the whole team. Titikaveka is a beautiful part of the island, and Moana Sand has two beachfront hotels there. The beach in front is among the island’s best. There’s also lovely equipment for enjoying the water, including kayaks and snorkels, along with other gear for sailing and diving. We enjoyed having it right there. We had a great time at the cocktail bar, which serves what I think is the island’s best piña colada. The local chef plays incredible music, and the BBQ pork ribs are especially delicious. Reception can help arrange taxis, too. The hotel sells Wi-Fi that lasts several days, though if you have time, I’d recommend getting a SIM card at the airport.
