The Edgewater Resort & Spa

We stayed in a villa for nine days, with a full kitchen and washing machine. The daily tropical breakfast was lovely. I'm usually an eggs-on-toast person, but the fresh fruit, toast and bircher muesli won me over. Cocktails were great too. The place exceeded my expectations: clean and family friendly, with beach access, a spa and treatments, a restaurant, bar and gift store. The spa had great prices on Pure Fiji products. Staff were friendly, and there were free daily activities and a kids club. Beach towels, snorkels and goggles, and swim shoes were free to borrow at the hub beside the pool. You just can't fault it.

The food was the real highlight of our last day of 2025. We had sashimi, sushi and ika mata, all scrumptious and very reasonably priced. The kids loved their chicken nuggets, beef burgers and huge milkshakes. We came to The Edgewater after The Rarotongan turned us away because we weren't “in-house guests.” Here, they welcomed us to use the pool and eat at the restaurant. Service was fast, efficient and incredibly friendly. It was refreshing to be treated as welcome customers, whether local or tourist.

We booked a garden view room first, then changed to a beachfront room when we saw the setting. So glad we did, waking up to the ocean every morning was wonderful. On our last day we had a massage and facial at the resort spa and salon, and both treatments were fantastic. A beautiful stay at the Edgewater resort and spa. We'll definitely come back.

We came for tea from club raro. The staff were excellent and really welcoming, and the resort has great views. But the food was some of the worst I've eaten. The fish had no taste, my fritter came out cold, fridge cold, like they forgot to heat or cook it. The salad was big lettuce leaves with chunky onion and a weird sauce on just a small part of it. There were three of us eating, and we all agreed we didn't enjoy our meals and wouldn't bother going again. It could've been so much better.
