Hotel Arena Gruesa

While we were putting up our tent, the owners let their guard dog out of its cage. It attacked my wife, and we spent the night at the hospital getting her leg stitched up. I yelled at the owner to keep the dog under control, and he punched me in the face. It was about the worst night imaginable. Avoid this place. I can't imagine how much worse it could have been if the dog had mauled a child instead of an adult.

The rooms were clean and nice, with a great ocean view, and the food and service were excellent. Just remember it's not a five-star hotel, but I'd recommend it.

I stayed at the campground and could choose my site whenever I wanted. Each spot had its own power hookup, and the restrooms were kept in good condition. The place is lovely and convenient for the area, with a stunning view and two nice lookout points. When rain caught me out, Juana and Elizabeth kindly helped me dry some clothes. I'd highly recommend camping here in Ancud.
