The rooms are comfortable and cozy, the breakfast is good, and there’s plenty of parking. The grounds are nice and just a little outside town. Silvia is a kind, helpful host who tries to take care of everything, and Cat Hugo is so cute. Chiu-Chiu is a small, charming village near Laguna Inka Coya and Valle Loa, on the way from Calama to the Vulcanoes in the North. A very nice, cozy Hostel. Highly recommended!

We were a group of 10 architecture students from Canada, and found the place peaceful and quiet. The rooms were very clean and tidied every day, and breakfast was provided each morning. It’s about a 10 minute walk into town, with a convenience store only 5 minutes away. There’s an observatory next door, which we got to visit briefly and watch the stars.

Silvia and her staff were attentive, friendly, and helpful. The rooms were super clean and cozy, and the place itself was really pleasant and very quiet. It has the feel of a boutique hotel. It’s just a couple of minutes from Chiu Chiu and less than half an hour from Calama, with reasonable prices too. I give it a 10 out of 10.

The family were incredibly kind and extremely helpful. This small hotel feels like a little gem, with cozy rooms in a collection of mud-brick houses and an excellent atmosphere. Everything has been designed with care and passion, in a sustainable way that connects strongly with local culture and history.

I had a very pleasant experience here. It’s a perfect spot to relax and take a leisurely stroll. Silvia, the owner, was especially welcoming and hospitable. I hope I can return.
