Enjoy Chiloé

My family and I went to the casino bar on a Monday, but they were out of lemon and maraschino liqueur, so we had to choose different drinks. One arrived with hardly any alcohol, so we sent it back and switched to bottled beer. The bottle came already open, rather than being opened at our table. The waitress said they don't stock it on Mondays because weekends are their busiest days. The service was terrible.

I was there for work. The bathrooms were clean, though the exterior was poorly maintained. It was okay.

I'd wanted to stay here for ages and arrived with really high expectations. The view from the upper room is incredible, unlike anything else. I slept with the curtains open because waking up to that landscape was worth it. The clay pots were wonderful, too, and the one feature I'd absolutely recommend. The rooms were the letdown. If you're claustrophobic, don't book the studio. I started out in one, and it really is a box with a tiny window. Fortunately it was low season, and they let me switch rooms for an extra $20,000 COP per night. Apparently, the rooms all have doors opening directly into other rooms, and you can hear the people next door snoring. It's very uncomfortable. My neighbors seemed to have food poisoning and vomited through the night, so I barely slept. The pools weren't clean either, and the water smelled bad. For all those reasons, I can't give it 5 stars.

The prices at Enjoy Chiloé casino felt excessive for what was offered. Service was poor from the start, the food came cold, and the drinks were a complete disaster. I ordered a ginger lemonade, but it had no lemon flavor or fresh ingredients. It was basically water with ice and a tiny bit of pulp, with no balance in either taste or presentation. Paying so much for such poor service and quality felt unacceptable.
