The little porch overlooking the ría was a highlight. We sat there watching the tide roll in and listening to the birds, and had that same view over a delicious breakfast with homemade bread and jam. The building is lovely, our room was spotless, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. It’s also a short, pretty walk into town. We usually just use hotels to sleep, but we were glad to linger at Palofito Hostal.

We had such a good stay with the family at the palafito. The staff were warm and attentive at breakfast, and the room had an amazing view. It was always cozy and warm, with comfortable beds and pillows. We’ll definitely come back.

Viviana stayed late to meet us after our trip from Puerto Cisnes ran behind, and she was so friendly and helpful. She even pointed out where we might see flamingos nearby. The seaview room and balcony were perfect, and we loved the breakfast, gorgeous stove and terrace. A lovely place to stay in Castro, Chiloé. Thank you, Viviana.

A beautiful, peaceful spot, even though the lively part of Castro is only a quick walk away. The owner was really friendly too.

We only stopped by to ask for information and didn’t stay, though after seeing the beautiful rooms and balcony, I wish we had. The person at reception was very helpful. Breakfast is included, and the price seemed very reasonable.
