Malalcahuello is peaceful and beautiful, and the ski slopes at the base of Lonquimay are just a 15 minute drive away. The rooms were super comfortable, and the food was delicious. Yasmina and Rodrigo are wonderful hosts. I’ve traveled a lot around the world, and this is one of my favorite places. I’ll definitely be back.

I don’t normally leave negative reviews, but I’ve never walked into a place and been met with dirty looks instead of a greeting. I asked if they had specialty coffee and was told yes, so I ordered a flat white. What arrived was a bowl of boiling hot coffee covered in foam. I could tell right away it wasn’t specialty coffee. When I asked for it to be changed, they said that’s how they always serve it. That’s why I’d asked before ordering. The girl was super rude. The place itself is nice, but the vibe isn’t.
