Cabañas Raupa

Ximena was one of the best hosts I’ve had in a while. She’s easy to reach on WhatsApp if you need anything and can arrange round-trip airport transfers. The place was spacious, clean, and quiet, and I had plenty of towels, utensils, and toilet paper. There’s also a little market right next door. The strong Wi-Fi was a real plus given how patchy reception can be on the island, and the stay was great value for my short visit. Centro is about a 15-minute walk away, which is worth keeping in mind at night or in the rain, though I never felt unsafe. Book with Ximena!

My husband and I spent four days at Cabañas Raupa in February-March 2024. We felt at home in our suite, which had a roomy kitchen with complete kitchenware alongside the bedroom and bathroom. The hotel is quite nice, with four suites and a beautiful, large garden. Ximena, the hostess, was sincere and warm. She proactively asked if we needed anything and did her best to help with the difficulties we ran into. We’re very grateful to her.

Grocery shopping is a minute away, Moia is five minutes away, and there are great restaurants within an eight-minute walk. You can also walk easily to just about everything, including the airport. The property sits at the edge of town, so it’s quiet and has the feel of a country inn while still being close to things. The well-appointed cabanas have full kitchens, real hangers in the closets, comfortable bedding, private decks, and strong Wi-Fi. The whole place felt very safe, the kind of place where you don’t feel you need to lock the doors. The staff and owner were helpful and knowledgeable. I locked myself out at 6 a.m., and my place was open before I got back from my walk. I only wish I’d stayed longer.

We really enjoyed our time at Cabañas Raupa. The cabin was bright, clean, and a short walk from downtown. The owner collected us at the airport, showed us around town, and made us feel welcome. She also checked in a few times to see how we were finding the accommodation. An excellent place to stay!
