Hotel Velero Playa Brava

Mrs. Julia and Mr. José were the highlight, always ready to help. The location was okay, with easy access to transport and places to visit, and the service was good. Our room’s window looked straight at a wall, though, and breakfast was basic with few choices. We also had some minor problems: the outlets by the bedside lamps didn’t work, and the other wall outlet was loose and missing its cover. Nice place overall.

The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and cleanliness was okay. But we couldn’t get much rest: people were laughing at 5:45 am, and noise carried from both inside and outside the hotel. The buildings are separated by a wall, but their windows are so close that you hear the neighbors talking and doing things. Our room was incredibly hot when we were trying to sleep, and after the power went out we had to shower in ice-cold water. Maybe we were just unlucky, but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you want to relax.

There’s no parking, and the only street you can get to the property by is very narrow. In the restroom, the trash bin had no pedal, and its sanitization was expired, last done in 2022. The staff did their jobs, but didn’t make much effort to be friendly.

We showed up at 7 a.m. without a reservation, and they arranged everything for us. The place was very clean and the staff were really friendly. It’s close to the beach, with lots of shops nearby for food and shopping. I highly recommend it.
