It's a beautiful place, though pets aren't allowed everywhere, so it isn't fully pet-friendly. They can't go in the pool area or onto the sand. I understand the rule, since people aren't responsible about their pets' waste or behavior, and we all end up paying for it.

We stayed for three weeks as a family and will definitely return. It's a lovely, quiet place, close to everything, with lots of amenities.

We had a wonderful time in La Serena, and my family enjoyed the resort a lot. It's beautiful and I think the value for money is excellent, even though it's not very central. If you want a spotless, brand-new resort, this might not be the place for you. I'll show you the view and some areas I liked. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay: three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a terrace looking out over the sea and lagoon. The resort is set away from city traffic and has plenty to do, including pools, kayaking, tennis, volleyball, an exercise area, and a cafeteria. The sandy beach was the letdown, with papers and other rubbish left around.

Sergio, the owner, was very friendly, and the apartment itself was really nice. The complex has gone downhill, though. I've been coming for years, and it isn't what it was four or five years ago.
