The barge is the only way to get yourself and your things across the Rio Palena to El Tranquilo, and it gets you there in just a few minutes. The operator was super classy, and I liked his hat. One day the boat was out of order when we needed to return, so we called the municipality and they sent an emergency boat to ferry us back. Five stars, and I’d highly recommend it.
