Everything's within easy reach, but the neighborhood itself felt quiet and safe. The beach is a block away, the bus terminal two blocks, and downtown about five. The kitchen has everything you need, and the beds are really comfortable. I'd definitely recommend it.

The rooms were spacious and the place itself is beautiful, a good idea, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. We lost electricity just minutes after arriving, the room insulation was awful, the bathrooms smelled bad, and the badly designed showers never gave us hot water. There isn't a reception. They just tell you by phone where the key is and give you the door code. The owner said he'd email all the hostel information, but nothing arrived, so we had to call and ask. He did call to collect payment, saying the method was explained in that email. Try Ecocamping instead, for a better and more pleasant stay.

I stayed in three different rooms and couldn't get a working shower in any of them. The first time I brought it up, the person was friendly. By the second time I was furious but let it go, and today it was still the same, with no apology or anything. They gave me my money back, but the owners are clearly negligent about fixing something so essential. Basically, there is no shower, so I absolutely don't recommend the place.

I only recommend it for a night or two. There is no sound insulation between rooms, so you get no privacy, and the bathroom is damp and musty, with no ventilation and slugs on the wall. There isn't any furniture, either, so your clothes end up on the floor. I felt disgusted using the kitchenware because cats walk among the plates and glasses. They also wanted to charge me an extra $35,000 because makeup had gotten on the sheets, as "compensation" for cleaning them. Can you believe that? I agree completely with the other comments. Not recommended.
