At Hostal Buena Tierra in Pucon, I found a clean, welcoming place really close to the town center. The staff were helpful and keen to make sure I was comfortable. My room was small but just right for my needs. Breakfast was good, and the location made it easy to explore Pucon on foot, with tour companies, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance. I stayed in January 2026.

I had a confirmed reservation through booking.com, but when I arrived to check in, the front desk attendant said my room had already been sold and the hostel was full. They offered no solution, help finding somewhere else, or even an apology. There was no way to reach anyone at booking.com, and no manager or owner to complain to. I'll never go back, and I'll tell people to stay away from this Hostel and booking.com.

The staff are friendly and courteous, and the mountain views are nice. It's a pleasant spot for a weekend away, within walking distance of the bus stop and convenience stores.

The rooms are tiny, but clean and have what you need. Great location and service, plus a well equipped kitchen.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, and cheerful, courteous staff. Best place to stay in Pucon, right in the heart of things.
