We had room 1, which was spacious and comfortable, with a private bathroom almost as large as the room. It's excellent value for money. The retired couple who run the hostel were warm and welcoming, and always attentive to guest comfort.

A pleasant, cozy place with excellent service. The rooms have cable TV, Wi-Fi, and private bathrooms, and towels, soap, and toilet paper are provided. The kitchen is available for warming food and making hot drinks only. One night costs 35,000 pesos. A very good place to stay.

The garden terrace has an unparalleled view of the Villarrica Volcano, and there's a cozy fireplace in the common room that feels especially nice in winter. Rooms are upstairs, with heating, cable TV, private bathrooms, and supplies included. The common spaces are kept clean and well maintained. Hostal Sofía feels warm and homey, thanks in part to the owners being present and attentive. The service was excellent. I'd gladly return and highly recommend a visit.

For the price and quality, I don't think you'll find a better option in Pucón. It's an excellent hostel, well equipped, neat, and very clean.
