The staff were genuinely helpful, and breakfast was good, though nothing remarkable. My room was clean but felt like a little box, and the common spaces were just as bare and functional. I expected to stay three nights but left after one.

The facilities were clean and the staff very friendly. I especially liked the spacious dining room and the tasty food. Right next door there's a big, comfortable café with lots of pastries, and the hot chocolate and cake are worth trying. At an activity organized by Mowi Tourism, the chef served an exquisite four-seasons tasting menu.

For a hotel charging over $100 USD a night, the service felt poor and the price didn't seem justified. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, but we had an unpleasant stay at the Gran Hotel in Puerto Aysén in March 2026. At breakfast the eggs were cold, and the bathroom bin for toilet paper had no lid, which seemed unhygienic. As foreigners, we also had a long, exhausting dispute over avoiding VAT, which we were entitled to do. When we arrived, nobody helped with our bags or showed us to the room. We asked for hot water or a kettle and the receptionist wouldn't help. Walesca at reception was particularly rude. Our ride was due at 12:00, yet staff were already checking us out at 11:12 and pressing us to leave. I don't recommend it.
