I loved the dining room on the first floor, with its beautiful views over town to the fjord and mountains. The rooms were comfortable, and the location worked well for both the town centre and bus station. Before and after my W Trek, Isidore at the front desk was helpful, pointing me to a great local restaurant and sharing a WhatsApp contact for cheap early-morning rides to the airport. The continental breakfast was fine, too. While I was trekking, I could leave a small rucksack there for a reasonable fee, with my non-trekking things inside. I’d definitely recommend staying at Xalpen B&B before and after the hike.

Watching a storm move across the city from the big window in the second-floor common area was lovely. Breakfast was tasty, with oatmeal, toast, meats and cheese, and yogurt. The rooms and bathrooms were clean in this wonderful little hostel. Service was great as well. The woman at the front desk helped us order a couple of taxis, chatted with us, and answered our questions.

The shared kitchen is fully equipped and welcoming, breakfast is good, and all the staff were so nice and helpful. We’d accidentally booked the wrong dates and thought we had an extra night, then left our luggage there while trekking with no service. The staff were incredibly kind and understanding: they waited for us, honored the booking price, and quickly sorted out a shower problem in our room.

Quiet, spacious rooms with twin beds and a private bathroom and shower, all for a great price. The staff were pleasant and considerate. It’s right downtown, in a great location with a lovely view.

The kitchen and lounge are great, and the room and shared toilet were nice and clean. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, and you can make a sandwich to take on your hike. It’s close to the bus terminal for trips to Torres del Paine and other cities.
