It’s a decent place for a quick stay, with fine beds and a good location. You can book with or without breakfast. I liked that there’s a boulder to spend some time on, and there’s also a small camping area if you need a cheaper option. The restaurant across from the hostel can get pretty noisy on some days.
The floor looked like something out of a murder horror movie. There was dirt in the bed, so I couldn’t bring myself to sleep in it and had to spend the night in my sleeping bag. Then there was the snail living in the shower. It came out to fight when I stepped into its territory, and with barely an elbow’s worth of space to move around, I lost.
We didn’t end up staying and found somewhere else. The bedroom and bathroom we were meant to use smelled of mold and had mold in them. The common area looked nice, but the outdoor facilities were in disrepair.
It’s close to the center of Puerto Varas, and decent enough for a night. I wouldn’t stay longer.
For what it costs, it’s fair.
