Hotel Germania

A few blocks' walk gets you to the central district, and the neighborhood feels safe and charming in a small-town way. The place is basic, but very clean, and the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. The bed, bathroom, and breakfast were all just adequate. For a cheaper, clean hotel without frills, it works well.

The rest of our stay was great: booking was easy, the room was clean, the staff friendly, and breakfast okay. But there was no air conditioning, and the summer heat made the room uncomfortable. We couldn't cool it down except by opening the balcony door, which let in street noise and left us visible to people walking by. It was too hot to sleep under the covers.

For a one-night budget stay before an early flight, this worked well. The airport is under 30 minutes away, and the city center and restaurants are a 20-25 minute walk. The route has a fairly steep incline, so it may not suit anyone with mobility issues, though we were happy to walk it. Check-in was simple and the staff were friendly. The room was small, with no air conditioning, hair dryer, or safe. It did have a decent-sized bed, a terrace for fresh air, and a radiator for winter. There were no terrace chairs and only one chair inside. The bathroom looked basic, but the shower was hot and nice. Breakfast was a buffet with coffee, tea, bread, small cakes, eggs, cheese, ham, jam, manjar, fruit, and yogurt. It was a decent meal, with nothing to complain about.

We really liked our stay. The rooms were tidy and the staff helpful, and even though breakfast wasn't anything award-winning, we always enjoyed it. They clearly take service quality seriously.
