We got help finding places to eat, a mini bank, and a taxi to the airport. The rooms were always clean, and apart from one extra employee, the receptionists spoke English very well, which was a huge help because my Spanish is poor. Communication was never a problem, and all the employees were helpful and welcoming. I stayed here for a week in November 2018, and it felt like visiting a distant relative. If you want to visit Punta Arenas without being right in the center, I’d recommend Hostal Buena Estancia. It’s a lovely 10-15 minute walk from the city center.

The rooms are on the small side, but they’re pleasant, with wooden floors and woodwork, comfortable beds, ample heating, and a modern, well-appointed bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and the service very friendly. A charming boutique hotel in a great location, highly recommended.

Punta Arenas felt safe and quiet around this place. The owners are lovely, everything was very clean, and breakfast had plenty of tasty variety.

We stayed in the four-person room. It was comfortable for the two of us, though I think a family would find it cramped. Everything was very clean and tidy.
