It's a decent place, though a little expensive. The building is old, and quite a few things need fixing.

We booked a room with three beds and a private bathroom, and it was comfortable, with fantastic hot water. The decor and amenities had a grandparents' house feel. The place is lovely and sits between the city center and the coast, though parking is metered and costs extra. We arrived at 10:00 PM on a Sunday in early February, when nothing was open. Breakfast was included and very generous, with cereal, yogurt, toast, eggs, and more. There was some confusion about the rate: the woman assured us it was in Argentine pesos, but when we paid in the morning, we found out it was Chilean pesos. Payment is by cash or credit card.
The homemade breakfasts were delicious and generous, and the staff were warm and helpful. We had a cozy stay with family and would definitely come back, though the lady working at night was a bit rude. The rooms in the main house were lovely and had everything needed for a good stay. The rooms outside the hostel weren't as nice, but we only spent one night there before being moved into the main house. Thanks for the warm service!
The location is unbeatable, and I stay here every time I'm in Punta Arenas. It feels like home, with a really friendly welcome and a varied homemade breakfast. I met Doña Margot, the owner, whose personal touch has made the hostel a classic.
This vintage hostel really fits our vibe, and we had comfortable rooms during our four nights, though we stayed in two different ones. Margot, the owner, was very friendly, and the staff were attentive. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. WE'D CHOOSE IT AGAIN WITHOUT HESITATION!
