Hotel Palermo

The staff who helped with service were attentive, and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is very central, but parking is a problem: there's space for just one small car, half a block away. The area was noisy, the doors didn't feel very secure, and the WiFi was poor, at least on the second floor.

We've stayed here several times for the location and service, so this visit was a real surprise. The building is very old and needs maintenance, and the on-site parking is extremely narrow. I hope they renovate it completely. The staff made things difficult throughout our stay. At breakfast, the receptionist said there was no milk and that shops were nearby, even though milk was on the menu. When we were leaving, she claimed we hadn't paid. We had to show the payment voucher from our email, and she took a photo of it without any courtesy. We also had trouble getting the car. The receptionist wouldn't give us the keys, saying other people were waiting. We waited around 15 minutes with no answer on the intercom. Eventually a woman answered and said Ms. Suny would take care of it. We called the number on the door, and someone said they'd find Ms. Suny, but they couldn't. Hotel staff knocked on the door before she finally came out. It took half an hour to get our car. The day before, the front desk person didn't know Bora Bora's address for returning the vehicle and was no help with directions, so we had to look it up ourselves. For such a well located hotel, the staff seemed rude and unsympathetic.

The bathroom was cramped and uncomfortable, and the parking is around the corner. The rooms smelled bad, and noise kept waking me up. I wouldn't recommend staying here or come back.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and housekeeping was fine. The service was warm and friendly. But there's no privacy because you can hear every conversation in the hallways. At 6 am we were woken by shouting and loud music. No respect for people trying to rest.
