The employees were amazing, very nice and helpful, and the restaurant food was delicious, with plenty of healthy choices on the menu. The wine was to die for. The location and building are beautiful, with a lovely interior courtyard, and the rooms are nicely decorated. The rooms were stuffy, though. There isn't proper AC or an air exchanger, and the floor ACs didn't do much. We couldn't open the windows at night because they had no mosquito screens. I had three sleepless nights out of three. The bathroom floor wasn't very clean, with lots of long black hairs around, and the bathtub could use a refresh.

The hotel itself felt like five stars, and we had a great time with the super friendly, helpful staff. Sitting with wine by the fire was so relaxing, and the vineyard tour gave us the chance to try some really nice wine. Our meals at the hotel restaurant were mixed: some dishes were really good and others not so much, which let the experience down a little. We'll be back.

A lovely old house, with very friendly staff and, of course, really good wine.

The food and wine were excellent and plentiful, although the menu was limited. The wine tasting and lunch at the Polo club house are a must, and ask to see the car collection too. I gave Casa Silva four stars because the rooms and ensuite bathrooms urgently need updating. The pool was out of use because of filter problems.

The original hacienda house has been completely refurbished while keeping its original architecture, style, and atmosphere. A great boutique hotel and a lovely place to enjoy.
