The shared areas were nice, the accommodation was good, and I enjoyed the shower. I also met some magical people there, so I did enjoy my stay. The service girl wasn't friendly and wouldn't smile. The owner was barely responsive on WhatsApp unless it was about money. They asked us for payment right in our face in the morning, unlike some other nice B&Bs that don't rush you. Maybe they'll say it's cheaper than the average B&B in San Pedro, so that's that. It's a shame, because the place isn't far off a 10/10, but being a good host is a big part of the experience.
The photos make the place look much nicer than it felt to us, and the service was rude. We arrived after booking by phone, but the receptionist had no idea about it. We asked whether any rooms were available, and she said yes. They were basic but would have done for a comfortable rest. She asked us to wait while she cleaned one, and we agreed. About 15 to 20 minutes later, she came back and said she couldn't make the reservation because she'd realized we'd booked online. We were upset but understood. Before leaving, my friend asked to use the bathroom, and the receptionist said there wasn't one. Nobody seemed willing to acknowledge the mistake. I don't recommend this place.
The rooms were very basic. After we booked by phone, we had a long walk to get there, were left waiting, and then they cancelled the reservation. A terrible experience and very unprofessional.
Horrible experience. They're rude and keep listings available on booking platforms, but when we reserved and got in touch, they said they don't work with those platforms. We lost our money and had nowhere to stay. This is completely absurd, and I've never had anything like this happen before.
The WiFi barely worked while we were there, and the hot water ran out quickly. One night the gas ran out and we had no hot water at all. The shower pressure was good, though. The employee on site was quite unfriendly, which gave the place a bad atmosphere. It's one of the cheaper options in Atacama, in a good location, about a 10-minute walk from Caracoles street. The shared area is cozy, and having a kitchen we could use was a real plus for making simple meals. An affordable place, but there's plenty to improve.
