The location was the one thing we liked. Our room was under the stairs, wedged between reception, the pool table, and the outdoor patio, so we heard every footstep as people came and went. The shower room was dirty, and we felt as if our presence was bothering the staff. We also needed laundry done and felt awkward asking while the owner and his friends were smoking inside the hostel, right outside our dorm, and blasting Iron Maiden during the day. That part was unpleasant, especially the smoking, but what made us give up was the music that kept going after we politely asked at 10 pm if they could turn it down so we could sleep before an early flight. At 2:30 am we decided we’d get more sleep at the airport.

The atmosphere was nice, the location was good, and the staff were great. It wasn’t very clean, but it is a hostel, after all. I stayed here twice.
