Hotel Eco Boutique Bidasoa

This hotel really surprised us. It was fabulous, with lovely views and rooms finished to a high standard. There was a great team of waiters, bar staff, receptionists, and housekeepers around to help. Spanish is the local language, but the reception team spoke English well. Definitely worth a visit.

Hotel Bidasoa is a beautiful, welcoming place, and I’d gladly recommend it. I stayed for a few days during a happy family occasion. The design is lovely, the atmosphere warm and refined, and there’s care in the details. Staff were kind and attentive, the restaurant excellent, breakfast outstanding, and my room comfortable, quiet, and arranged so thoughtfully that I felt at ease. Still, something unpleasant happened. One morning I worked in the lobby for several hours and left my wallet in the room, assuming it was safe. I didn’t check what was inside again until a few days later, back in Europe, when I noticed several hundred euros in banknotes were missing. I can’t and don’t want to blame the hotel as a whole. Everything about the property suggests professionalism and integrity, and I’d rather think one dishonest person was responsible than see this as a reflection of the hotel. But it was the second time I’d experienced theft on a trip to Chile, and that left me with mixed feelings. Even in such a welcoming place, keep an eye on your valuables and don’t leave them unattended.

The staff are super friendly, and the rooms are spacious and clean. It’s a modern, upscale hotel in a quiet, affluent neighborhood. Breakfast tastes good but gets repetitive. The pool could be heated, and the windows could block more sound since you can hear restaurant noise until it closes.

We had a great stay at Bidasoa over New Year’s 2025/2026. The hotel feels luxurious while still being relaxed, and the design and furnishings are very well done. Staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints or improvement ideas from us. I hope I can stay at Bidasoa again sometime.
