The area made me uneasy. The hotel faces a busy avenue where construction was underway, so getting a taxi or Uber was very difficult. There’s also a park nearby that’s known for assaults and protests. During my stay, a violent gang was assaulting and robbing people there, and I felt unsafe at night. I’d strongly advise against staying here, especially for foreign visitors. We were given a smoking room that reeked of cigarettes. When we asked to change rooms, nothing was offered. I’d booked twin single beds, but the system showed a double room. The receptionist argued with me instead of finding a solution, and when I asked for the manager, the communication was just as poor. The manager didn’t seem able to handle the problem or show any understanding, and I felt completely dismissed. Breakfast itself was decent and the food was fresh, but the choices were limited and the staff were unfriendly. The service overall was frustrating, and there are better options for a safer, more pleasant stay.

The room had a lot of space, and I liked the big windows because they let in daylight. Once the sun went down, though, it got very dark and there weren’t enough lamps. The location was good, and the staff were fine.

Ransés made the stay feel personal. He was patient and clear when giving directions, so communication was easy even for people who don’t speak Spanish. He suggested good places to eat, things to see, and ways to explore the area. Each time I came back, he greeted me warmly. When I was waiting for my airport cab, he quietly kept an eye on me to make sure I was safe. That thoughtful gesture stayed with me. The room was much roomier than I expected for a standard, and it was spotless, with a fridge, clean bathroom, hangers, dresser, soap, and shampoo. The lobby also had a lovely scent that made it feel welcoming. Ransés, the night receptionist, greeted me warmly when I arrived. Infinity Park Hotel was one of the highlights of my Santiago trip. It’s minutes from downtown and a beautiful park, with a 24-hour convenience store just a two-minute walk away. The outside may not catch your eye, but inside I felt very welcome.

Pretty casual.

No windows, no towels, and a sink with marks that made it look as if it hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The photo was taken before checkout on a sunny day, but my room was entirely blocked out on level 3. The shower had to be handheld, otherwise water shot over the top. I only realized the towels were missing after showering, so I had to dry off with a bedsheet that didn’t look clean to begin with. I booked just one night between flights and wasn’t expecting much, but this was worse than hostels I’ve stayed in while backpacking. The young guy at check-in was nice, but seemed confused about whether or how I should pay. He kept saying my card wasn’t working because it was in dollars, though I live in the UK and my card handles other currencies fine. He also asked more than once whether I was arriving alone. It might have been an innocent mix-up, but since it was after midnight, it made me feel unsafe. The location looks central. I skipped breakfast and got coffee nearby, then went to the airport earlier than I needed to. Honestly, I wish I’d slept there instead. I really don’t recommend this hotel.
