Hotel La Castellana

It’s a pleasant, clean, warm place in a nice central location, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The internet was unreliable, though. I took off a star for service because of the bank transfer issue. I couldn’t send money from my Mexican bank, or maybe I didn’t understand the process, and they charge more when you pay cash. They didn’t ask me for proof of entry into the country.

The internet is really poor. On Sundays they make you leave for five hours while they go eat, and nobody is allowed inside, but they still charge for the full day.

Nice place, though the facilities are very old.

There’s no air conditioning, and open windows mean noisy neighbors, so you’ll only get to sleep if you’re completely exhausted like I was. The price and service were good, and the room was nice, but the floors were a bit dirty, the bathroom needed cleaning, and I didn’t get hot water.
