The beds were comfortable, the rooms quiet, and the shower good. The location is very good, too. Breakfast was very poor, though, and while the check-in staff were more helpful, other staff seemed unwilling to try English when I spoke broken Spanish. The rooms could use a refurbishment.

The staff were great and accommodating, even when we arrived early. The location is ideal, with lots to do nearby, and the rooftop patio was a nice place to spend the evening. We were first given keys to a room that was already occupied, which should never happen. In the next room, the AC was switched on but never cooled the space, and they wouldn't move us. I hardly slept. The finishes felt like fancy tiles and decor had been put over a building that was falling apart. Breakfast was included, but was very subpar and not appealing. This didn't impress me. I wouldn't recommend it. It felt more like a 3-star hotel than a 5-star one.

Parking could be an issue if you rent a car. There are lots nearby, but you'll need to include that cost in your budget. Otherwise, I was very pleased with my stay. The location is close to lots of museums and tour meeting points, and my room was clean and comfortable, with a great bed. The staff were accommodating. I arrived on an early overnight flight, and once my room was ready, they had my baggage waiting in it when I returned. Breakfast had a delicious variety, and the waffles were so good I started looking forward to them over my last two days.

The staff were wonderful when I got very sick on our last day and had to go to the hospital. They helped my friend and me find another room for the two extra nights we needed because of my illness, and brought dinner to my room. I'd absolutely stay again. We were a group of six for six nights, and the location was great. The wifi worked the whole time, and there was always plenty of breakfast, so it wasn't first come, first served. The staff were great throughout. I was surprised by a recent negative review, because I don't think Hotel Sommelier deserves some of the reviews here. We felt we got what we paid for and a bit more, despite the reviews not being great.
