It was comfortable, convenient, and the staff were very friendly. A small refrigerator in the room would make things even more convenient.

A very pleasant, central stay. There’s a supermarket right behind the hotel, plus bars and restaurants nearby, so getting to amenities was easy.

The location and affordable price are why I chose to stay here again, but I’m not sure I’d make the same choice next time. Noise is the biggest issue. There seems to be little sound insulation between rooms and the hallway. On this visit, housekeeping staff gathered by my door for a loud chat at 7 am, then used very loud radios all day. The air conditioning was also extremely noisy and only partly working, and staff couldn’t fix it. During my last stay I’d paid extra for late checkout, but the staff hadn’t been told, so I had to get a manager to confirm it with the front desk. The neighborhood is great and the hotel is on the cheaper side. Next time, I might pay for somewhere a bit nicer.

As my first hotel in South America, ibis was generally satisfactory. The location was good, the staff were professional, and the front desk spoke English well, which made things much easier. The rooms were disappointing for the price, with almost none of the basics, like tissues, cups, or a trash can. I stayed three nights and found blood on the bedsheet once, then a visible black spot another time. I was too tired to ask for a change, but wanted to mention it. The hotel has good points, though I hope the room amenities can better justify the cost.
