I'm a backpacker who usually travels on a tight budget, and I'm not especially fussy, so I wasn't expecting a perfect hotel. Still, there were several problems. The bedsheets were very dirty, with several long black hairs on them, and the room smelled of smoke because someone was smoking in the sitting area by the door. The laundry came back smelling strongly of cigarettes and still wasn't really clean. The boss told us we could leave our luggage for free, but when we came to collect it, an employee tried to charge us 8,600 pesos (10 USD).

There's a bus station for the airport nearby, and it's a great spot if you want to stay in central Santiago.
